Josh Dossett is the Deputy Chief of the Ketchikan Police Department.  He was hired by the department in 1993 after graduating from the University of Alaska: Fairbanks with a degree in Justice.  Deputy Chief Dossett has worked in both the Patrol and Investigations Divisions and was the lead death investigator for the department for several years.  In 2002 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.   In 2005 he attended the Police School of Supervision in Plano, Texas.  In 2007, he was promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief.  In the summer of 2009, Deputy Chief Dossett attended the FBI National Academy #238 in Quantico, VA.  Currently Deputy Chief Dossett is the patrol commander for the Ketchikan Police Department.  He also supervises the K9 officer, School Resource Officer program and department training.
